SwitchBot has unveiled the Obboto, an AI-powered globe light announced at CES, designed to bring a unique visual experience to any desk. This "expressive globe light companion" boasts over 2,900 RGB LEDs, capable of displaying preset animations alongside user-uploaded images and GIFs rendered as pixel art, reminiscent of the Las Vegas Sphere.
The Obboto lamp is equipped with a motion sensor, enabling it to respond dynamically to touch and movement. Its advanced features include integrated music visualization and AI-driven "mood animations." Furthermore, it offers specialized modes tailored for activities like sleep, focus, relaxation, and meditation, alongside general ambiance settings.
While pricing and availability details for the Obboto are yet to be announced by SwitchBot, its ability to display local weather and time may appeal to those who favored the discontinued Amazon Echo Dot with Clock. Consumers will anticipate its release to see if it matches the charm and affordability of similar devices.
