At CES 2026, startup Takway introduced Sweekar, an AI companion designed to be the ultimate pocket-sized pet. Shaped like a cute, egg-like device with a screen for a face, Sweekar evolves a unique personality based on user interaction. It learns voices and remembers shared activities, much like a Tamagotchi, but with advanced AI capabilities.
Sweekar progresses through four life stages, starting as an egg and requiring care during its baby and teen phases. Once it reaches adulthood, it becomes self-sufficient, embarking on virtual excursions and returning with stories. The device comes in various colors with customizable shells and outfits, aiming for broad appeal.
Available for an anticipated price of $100-$150, Sweekar is set to launch via a Kickstarter campaign soon. This innovative AI pet aims to redefine personal companionship in the digital age, offering an engaging and evolving experience for users.
