Summary
- Suzanne Somers' widower Alan Hamel creates AI clone of late wife
- Hamel says AI clone is indistinguishable from the real Somers
- Somers' AI will be available 24/7 to answer fans' health questions

In a surprising move, just over two years after the passing of actor and fitness icon Suzanne Somers, her widower Alan Hamel has announced the creation of an AI clone of his late wife. Hamel, who was married to Somers for 55 years, told People magazine that the "Suzanne AI Twin" is a "really interesting" project that will allow Somers' fans to continue interacting with her online.
Hamel revealed that the AI clone is so lifelike that he can barely tell the difference between it and the real Somers. "When you look at the finished one next to the real Suzanne, you can't tell the difference. It's amazing," he said. The AI was trained using Somers' 27 books and hundreds of interviews, allowing it to answer a wide range of questions.
According to Hamel, the idea of creating a virtual Somers was even something the late actress herself was interested in. "It was Suzanne's idea. And she said, 'I think we should do that.' She said, 'I think it'll be very interesting and we'll provide a service to my fans and to people who have been reading my books who really want and need information about their health,'" Hamel explained.
Once the AI Suzanne is perfected, it will be uploaded to SuzanneSomers.com, where it will function as a 24/7 chatbot for the late star's fans, providing them with health information and advice directly from the source.
