Starlink Roam Adds 300GB Plan for Travelers
14 May
Summary
- Starlink Roam now offers a 300GB plan for $80 per month.
- This new plan is designed for frequent travelers and remote workers.
- Subscribers exceeding data caps experience speeds reduced to under 1Mbps.

SpaceX has expanded its Starlink Roam service with the introduction of a new 300GB data plan available to US customers for $80 per month. This offering caters specifically to individuals who frequently travel, such as RV users, campers, and those working remotely, providing a more substantial high-speed data allowance.
This 300GB plan joins the existing Roam 100GB and Unlimited options. Notably, it features no hard data caps; exceeding the 300GB allotment results in speeds being throttled to below 1Mbps, which SpaceX states is sufficient for essential online activities like emails, calls, and texts. This feature was previously added to the 100GB plan in January.
The company is also exploring ways to increase revenue, including offering portable Starlink Mini dishes, which are compatible only with the Roam tier. Despite the new options, some users have expressed a desire for more affordable plans, with requests for lower-speed, budget-friendly tiers or the return of a previously available 10GB plan.
Currently, the Roam 300GB plan has been observed for US users and is indicated on a support page to be available for Canadian customers as well. SpaceX also provides a Standby Mode for $5 per month, which offers unlimited low-speed data, though in-motion usage on this plan was discontinued in March.
