23 Jan
Summary

- Users express frustration, citing a lack of affordable options between standby and higher tiers.

SpaceX has announced the discontinuation of its $10 per month Starlink Roam 10GB plan, a move that has drawn criticism from subscribers. The satellite internet provider began notifying users in the US, Canada, and Australia about the plan's retirement, effective in 30 days from the notification.
The Roam 10GB plan was favored for its low cost, serving as a backup or temporary solution for users. Its discontinuation leaves a gap in affordable portable internet options.
Affected customers are being migrated to "Standby Mode," a $5 per month plan offering unlimited data but at significantly reduced speeds of 0.5Mbps and under. Alternatively, SpaceX is promoting a revamped Roam 100GB plan for $50 per month, with unlimited data at under 1Mbps after the cap is reached.
