Spotify CEO Launches AI Health Scan Startup

Spotify founder Daniel Ek has launched Neko Health, a new venture in the healthcare industry focused on preventative care. Co-founded with Hjalmar Nilsonne, the startup aims to create a healthcare system prioritizing early detection and disease prevention. Neko Health's innovative approach involves a non-invasive full-body scanner.

This advanced scanner uses over 70 sensors to capture more than 50 million data points related to skin, heart, and circulation. A self-learning AI system analyzes this data, identifying potential abnormalities in birthmarks, rashes, heart function, blood pressure, and pulse. Results are provided to patients and doctors during appointments and are accessible via a dedicated app.

The full-body scans, which take only a few minutes, are currently offered to the public in Sweden. Priced at 2,000 SEK (approximately $190 USD), the scans are in high demand, with current offerings sold out. Ek's involvement in healthcare has been anticipated, with past discussions highlighting his interest in reforming the healthcare system.
