Sony has significantly enhanced its RX10 superzoom camera lineup with the release of the RX10 IV. This new model, priced at $1,700, maintains the established 24-600mm (25x optical) zoom lens but focuses on internal performance upgrades. It integrates a 1-inch, 20.1-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS sensor and the Bionz X processor to achieve shooting speeds of up to 24 frames per second with autofocus and autoexposure tracking.
The RX10 IV offers impressive autofocus capabilities, featuring 315 phase-detection AF points that lock focus in a rapid 0.03 seconds. A notable addition is the 3-inch touchscreen, a first for Sony's RX camera series. This camera also excels in video, capable of shooting 4K video at 30 or 24fps and 1080p at up to 120fps.
