While not branded as 'Elite' like the top-tier chips reaching up to 4.6GHz, the 8 Gen 5's CPU achieves speeds of 3.8GHz, positioning it as a powerful option for premium devices that are not at the absolute highest price point.

Flagship phones from manufacturers like OnePlus are confirmed to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, with initial device launches anticipated within weeks. This includes models like the OnePlus 15R, which is expected to offer slightly reduced specifications compared to its premium counterparts, reflecting a strategy to provide powerful yet more affordable smartphone options.
