Summary
- Samsung unveiled a 140-inch bezel-less Micro-LED TV concept.
- The display extends onto the sides for immersive content or info.
- Micro-LED tech offers bright images with no burn-in risk.

At CES 2026, Samsung presented a futuristic 140-inch Micro-LED television concept that eliminates traditional bezels entirely. The display seamlessly extends over the sides, offering novel ways to engage with content. This design allows for 'extended content' to flow onto the bezel for enhanced immersion or can be used to show supplementary information, such as live sports scores.
The technology behind this display is Micro-LED, which functions similarly to OLED by emitting its own light. However, Micro-LED can achieve higher brightness levels and is immune to burn-in. Its modular nature makes it suitable for seamless integration into larger, custom-sized displays, facilitating designs with wraparound screens.
While Micro-LED is still cost-prohibitive for mass market adoption, with mainstream availability estimated to be five to eight years away, this concept offers a glimpse into its potential. Samsung's innovative approach, reminiscent of its 'Edge' phone panels, could redefine the television viewing experience with customizable ambient lighting and integrated information displays.
