Samsung's Ballie Robot: Forever Promised, Never Delivered?

Samsung's personal robot, Ballie, first revealed in 2020, continues to be a no-show despite multiple promises of release. The company unveiled a refined version at CES 2024, stating it would go on sale that year, a deadline that passed without its market debut. Subsequent assurances pointed to a summer 2025 launch, but as of December 2025, the product remains unavailable.

This prolonged gestation period for Ballie draws parallels to Samsung's previous product, the Galaxy Home smart speaker. Initially rumored in 2017 and officially revealed in 2018, the larger Galaxy Home never reached consumers, despite a limited release of a smaller version. The persistent delays for both products raise concerns about their actual market viability and Samsung's commitment to their release.

With CES approaching again, the anticipation for Ballie's launch is palpable, yet skepticism remains high. Until consumers can physically purchase the robot, its existence as a marketable product is questionable.
