Samsung SmartTag2: 700 Days of Battery Power!

Samsung announced the SmartTag2, its second-generation item tracker, at its Developer Conference. This new device significantly enhances battery life, offering up to 700 days in power-saving mode, a substantial improvement over its predecessor and competitors. It also features an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, making it more resilient to environmental conditions.

The SmartTag2 is smaller than the previous model and includes a replaceable CR2032 battery. Samsung has also updated its SmartThings Find app with a new interface and full-screen map view. The device requires a newer Samsung device for full functionality. The SmartTag2 will be available globally on October 10th, with pricing details yet to be announced.
