Samsung's Galaxy S26 smartphone lineup is slated for a notable price increase, beginning September 23, 2026. The All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) has indicated that the entire series will become more expensive. The standard Samsung Galaxy S26 will start at Rs 1,02,999, marking a Rs 15,000 increase from its original launch price.
The Galaxy S26 Plus will also see its price climb by Rs 15,000, with its starting price set at Rs 1,34,999. For the premium Galaxy S26 Ultra, prices are expected to rise by Rs 15,000 across most variants. However, the top-tier 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model of the S26 Ultra will experience the most substantial hike of Rs 25,000, reaching Rs 2,14,999.
This upcoming price adjustment is a cause for concern within the retail industry. AIMRA Chairman Kailash Lakhyani expressed that such significant price hikes are negatively impacting consumer purchasing decisions. He noted a trend where consumers are increasingly opting for pre-owned devices or delaying purchases, possibly waiting for future festive offers.
