Galaxy S27 Ultra: Radical New Camera Design Leaked!
30 Apr
Summary
- Leaked images suggest a horizontal camera bar, unlike previous models.
- The S27 Ultra might feature a silicon-carbon battery with higher capacity.
- Samsung is reportedly preparing four models for the S27 lineup.

Rumors have surfaced regarding the design of Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra, months ahead of its expected launch. Leaked images point to a substantial change in the camera bar's appearance, moving from the established vertical layout to a horizontal, pillbox-like design. This new aesthetic bears resemblance to Google's Pixel phones or Samsung's own Galaxy S10. Some observers note a potential reduction in visible lenses compared to the S26 Ultra, though hidden sensors are a possibility.
Beyond the camera module, the S27 Ultra is anticipated to retain its curved edges and include an S Pen, a feature rumored to be discontinued by Samsung. This design shift could also be linked to enabling Qi2 charging, a feature absent in current Galaxy models. The S27 series may also see the introduction of silicon-carbon batteries, with Samsung reportedly testing versions ranging from 12,000 mAh to 20,000 mAh.
Samsung is expected to launch four models under the S27 banner: the S27, S27 Plus, S27 Pro, and the S27 Ultra. The Pro model is said to be a smaller version of the Ultra but without the S Pen. If Samsung adheres to its typical release schedule, the S27 family is anticipated to debut in January of next year.
