Summary
- Galaxy S26 boasts a new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip for better performance.
- The S26 features a slightly larger 6.3-inch display compared to the S25.
- Battery capacity increases to 4,300mAh with faster 30-minute charging capability.

Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S26, a device that builds upon the foundation of last year's Galaxy S25 with several key improvements. While the design maintains a compact footprint with flat edges, the S26 measures slightly thicker and heavier at 71.7 x 149 x 7.2mm and 167 grams.
The display sees a marginal increase to 6.3 inches with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, offering smoother scrolling with its 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Under the hood, the S26 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, promising enhanced efficiency and AI capabilities, with some regions receiving Samsung's Exynos 2600 processor.
Camera hardware remains similar to the S25, with a 50MP main sensor, but advancements are expected through improved image processing and Galaxy AI features. A more significant upgrade is the battery, now a 4,300mAh cell compared to the S25's 4,000mAh. Samsung also claims the S26 can achieve a 55% charge in 30 minutes, a practical enhancement for daily use.
