Samsung has announced that its Galaxy S26 series will soon support AirDrop file transfers via Quick Share, enabling seamless sharing with iPhone users. This significant integration of cross-platform functionality is set to roll out starting today in Korea, with the United States and other global markets like Europe, Latin America, and Japan to receive the update later this week.
Unlike on Pixel devices, this feature will require manual activation on Galaxy phones through a new 'Share with Apple devices' switch within the Quick Share settings. To enable bidirectional sharing, both users must ensure their respective devices are set to 'Everyone' mode for sharing. This move by Samsung is anticipated to further normalize interoperability between Android and iOS ecosystems.
