Samsung's New Smart Glasses Revealed!
27 Apr
Summary
- Samsung's upcoming smart glasses resemble Meta's Ray-Ban design.
- The glasses are codenamed 'Jinju' and may launch soon.
- A premium version with a display is planned for 2027.

Samsung is preparing to launch its first pair of smart glasses, internally codenamed 'Jinju.' Leaked images suggest a design nearly identical to Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses. These new glasses are expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 processor, a 12-megapixel camera, and bone conduction speakers, but notably, they will not include a built-in display. Pricing is anticipated to be between $379 and $499.
This initial release is reportedly part of a larger strategy, with a more premium version, codenamed 'Haean,' planned for release in 2027. This future iteration is expected to incorporate a micro-LED display and command a higher price of $600 to $900.
While an announcement at Google I/O in May is possible, Samsung's smart glasses could also debut at a later Unpacked event. This initiative aligns with Samsung's ongoing collaboration with Google on Android XR, building on their previous launch of the Galaxy XR headset.
