Samsung is reportedly preparing to release its first new fitness tracker in three years, the Galaxy Fit 4. This successor to the 2024 Galaxy Fit 3 is expected to offer significant upgrades. Leaked blueprints indicate a design similar to its predecessor, featuring a rectangular case with an AMOLED touchscreen and a side button.
The Galaxy Fit 4 is anticipated to boast a slightly higher-resolution display than the Fit 3's 1.6-inch panel, with potential improvements in brightness for better outdoor readability. Samsung's GH3036 health sensor array is expected for continuous heart rate monitoring, with rumors of new stress tracking tools and automatic workout detection.
While not yet confirmed, features like GPS and NFC could be included, which were absent in the Fit 3. Safety features such as fall detection and emergency SOS are likely to be retained, alongside health monitoring for blood oxygen (SpO2), sleep scores, and pulse notifications. Battery life is expected to be comparable to the Fit 3's 13 days.
A key factor for its success may be multi-platform support, including iOS, to effectively compete with dominant brands in the affordable fitness tracker segment.
