Samsung has introduced a budget-friendly addition to its Galaxy Book 6 lineup, with prices starting at $799. This new model is designed to be a more accessible Windows laptop option, contrasting with the higher-priced original models released earlier this year. The previous base model cost over $1,050, and a premium Snapdragon X2 Elite version was released in June for $2,100.
The latest Galaxy Book 6 is equipped with Intel Core 3 or Core 5 processors, configurable with 256GB to 1TB of storage and 8GB or 16GB of RAM. It features a 14-inch display with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution and an anti-glare finish. Users can expect up to 25 hours of battery life and 45W fast charging. Connectivity options include multiple USB-C ports, a USB-A port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
This new laptop integrates AI functionalities like AI Select for content selection and Note Assist for summarizing notes. As part of the Galaxy ecosystem, it allows seamless file sharing across other Samsung devices and can utilize a Galaxy Tab as a second display. The new Galaxy Book 6 is available in Gray and Violet Silver in select markets.
