15 Jul
Summary
- Amazon Music is now pre-installed on Samsung phones and tablets.
- New users receive a free three-month Amazon Music Unlimited subscription.
- Pre-installed apps can consume over 1GB of phone storage.

Samsung has announced the inclusion of Amazon Music among the pre-installed applications on its Galaxy phones and tablets. This change, occurring just before its Galaxy Unpacked event next week, means Amazon Music will now come standard on new Samsung devices.
As an incentive, Samsung and Amazon are offering a complimentary three-month subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited. This offer is available to users who download the app from Samsung's Galaxy Store within the next 12 months.
The addition of Amazon Music contributes to the growing number of pre-installed third-party apps on Galaxy devices, which can occupy over 1GB of storage. While many of these apps can be uninstalled, some, like Facebook, can only be disabled, leaving parts of them on the device.
Users interested in the free subscription must be mindful of auto-renewal, as the service will automatically charge $13 per month if not canceled. The offer requires signing up through the Samsung Galaxy Store.
