Samsung's 2026 TVs: Mini-LEDs cheaper, but color dims
24 Mar
Summary
- Samsung's 2026 Mini-LED TVs offer lower prices but reduced color features.
- New M80H and M70H models replace mid-range QLEDs with Mini-LED tech.
- The popular QN90 Series is retired, replaced by Micro RGB flagships.

Samsung has unveiled its 2026 TV lineup, introducing two new Mini-LED models, the MH80 and MH70, positioned below the previously announced Neo QLED QN80H and QN70H. A 100-inch MH90 Mini-LED TV is also planned for later in the year.
The new M80H and M70H series feature Mini-LED backlighting but lack quantum-dot color, offering a more budget-friendly entry into Mini-LED technology. These models replace Samsung's mid-range QLED TVs, providing enhanced contrast. The M80H supports 4K at 144Hz and AMD FreeSync Premium, while the M70H is limited to 4K/60Hz.
The Neo QLED lineup includes the QN80H and QN70H, which combine Mini-LED with quantum-dot color for improved brightness and color volume. The QN80H offers four HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K/144Hz support and FreeSync Premium Pro, available in a 100-inch size. The QN70H, however, is limited to three HDMI ports and 4K/60Hz.
Notably absent is the QN90 Series, with Samsung prioritizing its new Micro RGB TVs, such as the R95H flagship, as the top non-OLED options. This strategic shift aims to make Mini-LED technology more accessible, though it means a reduction in color performance for some models compared to previous years.
