Rode expands its creator tools with the introduction of the Rodecaster Video Core, an accessible, all-in-one studio solution. This model sits below their existing offerings and is designed for creators transitioning into HD video or expanding their current audio setups. A significant departure is its complete reliance on the Rodecaster App for operation, eliminating onboard controls.
The Video Core is equipped with three HDMI-in ports, one HDMI-out, four USB-C ports, two 3.5mm audio jacks, and two Neutrik combo ports. It supports up to four sources via USB-C, allows for network cameras through Ethernet, and can wirelessly integrate an iOS device feed using the Rode Capture app. The device also features automatic switching based on audio input, simplifying multi-person productions.
