Robotic Army Marches into Factories, Heralding Automation Revolution
15 Nov
Summary
- Hundreds of humanoid robots marching in unison at a Chinese factory
- Robots designed to work non-stop and autonomously swap batteries
- UBTECH Robotics reports over $112 million in orders for new robot model

On November 15, 2025, a chilling scene unfolded at a factory in China as hundreds of humanoid robots marched in perfect unison, signaling an impending automation revolution. The robots, developed by Shenzhen-based UBTECH Robotics, were captured on video demonstrating their ability to autonomously swap batteries and load themselves into shipping containers.
The video, announcing the production of UBTECH's second-generation robot model, has caused a stir online, with some claiming it to be AI-generated. However, the company has confirmed that the robots are very much real, and that they have already dispatched hundreds of the "Walker S2" units to major industrial giants, including BYD, Geely, FAW-Volkswagen, DongFeng, and Foxconn.
UBTECH has reported over $112 million in orders for the new robot model, including a $22.3 million order from a company in China's Sichuan province. The company's share price has also gained more than 150% this year, closing at $17.11 on Tuesday, as it continues to secure new contracts and partnerships, including a $14 million deal with vehicle exporter Miee Auto.
The robots, described as the "world's first humanoid robot capable of autonomous battery swapping," are designed to work around the clock and uninterrupted, potentially spelling the end of many factory jobs as automation takes over. As the march of the robotic army continues, the future of manufacturing is poised to undergo a dramatic transformation.
