8 Apr
Summary
- Advanced navigation combines LiDAR, RTK, and camera vision.
- No base station or boundary wires are required for setup.
- Models handle up to 80-degree slopes and rough terrain.

Mammotion has introduced new LUBA models that bring true out-of-the-box autonomy to robot lawn mowers, eliminating the traditional hassle of boundary wire installation and base station setup. These mowers utilize the "Tri-Fusion" navigation system, a pioneering integration of 360° LiDAR, antenna-free Network RTK, and AI-powered camera vision.
This advanced system allows the mowers to accurately map their surroundings and navigate precisely without external hardware. The LiDAR builds a 3D map, RTK provides positioning corrections, and AI vision identifies obstacles. This multi-faceted approach ensures reliable operation even in challenging environments like tree cover or open lawns.
The LUBA 3 AWD model features all-wheel drive, capable of handling up to 80-degree slopes and rough terrain with impressive agility. Onboard AI vision helps it recognize and avoid common obstacles, while its wide cutting path and multi-zone support make it efficient for larger properties, running for over three hours per charge.
For tighter spaces or areas with limited sky visibility, the LUBA Mini 2 AWD relies solely on onboard LiDAR for navigation and includes a side-cutting blade for edge trimming. The LUBA lineup prioritizes a quick setup process, allowing users to go from unboxing to mowing in minutes, promising a future of effortless lawn care.
