Summary

- Developer created app after misplacing phone on silent.
Forgetting where you placed your phone, especially when it's on silent, can be a frustrating experience. Traditional 'find my phone' features often rely on the same operating system, leaving users with mixed devices in a bind.
Belgian developer Gaëtan Van Den Berge has created RingIt, a free application for both Android and iOS. This simple app allows users to make a misplaced phone ring loudly from another device, effectively solving the problem of locating a muted phone.
Van Den Berge conceived the idea after repeatedly asking his girlfriend to help locate his phone while on vacation. RingIt focuses solely on its core function, ensuring no location data or user information is collected beyond email verification for setup.
