Ring has launched an innovative feature called Search Party to help bring lost pets back home. This new tool addresses the distress pet owners experience when their animals go missing.
The feature works by activating outdoor cameras in the vicinity when a pet is reported missing via the Ring app. This technology aims to find a match and facilitate a quicker reunion.
Ring founder Jamie Siminoff highlighted that the feature has already reunited over a dog per day with its family since its launch. This initiative was showcased in an emotional Super Bowl ad.
In a move to broaden its impact, Ring is also making the Search Party feature accessible to non-Ring owners through its Neighbors app. This allows entire communities to participate in finding lost animals more effectively.
Furthermore, Ring announced a $1 million commitment to equip animal shelters across the United States with Ring cameras. This effort is intended to expedite the process of reuniting pets with their owners and decrease the time pets spend in shelters.
