Sony's Portal: Now Streams Your Owned Games

Sony's PlayStation Portal has undergone a substantial evolution, enhancing its cloud streaming capabilities to include digitally owned games. Previously limited to a curated selection through PlayStation Plus Premium, the device now allows users to stream titles purchased from the PlayStation Store, significantly expanding its playable library to over 3,000 games.

This update moves cloud streaming out of beta and provides a workaround for storage limitations, enabling players to access their digital collection without installing games locally on their PS5. Access to this feature remains contingent on a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription, priced at $160 annually.

Further refinements enhance the user experience, introducing the ability to make in-game purchases and receive multiplayer invites while cloud streaming. Accessibility has also been improved with the addition of a screen reader and adjustable text sizes, solidifying the Portal's growing appeal as a versatile gaming accessory.
