Pixel 11 vs. Pixel 10: Is the upgrade worth it?

Google has launched its Pixel 11, featuring a more efficient Tensor G6 processor and enhanced camera software. Notably, new AI capabilities like Magic Capture allow users to extract the best still images from video clips, a feature ideal for capturing fleeting moments. The Pixel 11's design sees an update with an edge-to-edge glass camera bar for a seamless look.

However, many of the most advanced features, including the HiLight ambient LED array and 120x Pro Zoom, are reserved for the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL models. The standard Pixel 11 is priced $100 higher than its predecessor, as Google has discontinued the 128GB storage option. The 256GB variant remains at $899 and is now the most affordable choice.

Comparison reveals that the front design and 6.3-inch OLED displays of the Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 are nearly identical. Both phones offer a 120Hz variable refresh rate. While the camera hardware is largely the same, the Pixel 11 boasts a new 30x digital zoom and improved light sensitivity. Software enhancements include Magic Capture and Camera Looks, similar to iPhone's Photographic Styles.

The Pixel 11 sports a slightly larger 4,985-mAh battery compared to the Pixel 10's 4,970-mAh. Google claims over 30 hours of battery life with its Adaptive Battery feature. Both phones will receive seven years of OS and security updates, making the older Pixel 10 a potentially long-term option.
