Adobe is enhancing Photoshop with its new AI Assisted Editor, designed for users to manipulate images through natural language commands. This feature is being tested in the beta version of Photoshop, which is available for $23 per month.
The AI Assisted Editor offers a simplified interface alongside Photoshop's classic Pro Editor. Users can input text prompts to perform various edits, such as removing backgrounds, expanding image dimensions, eliminating unwanted objects, or altering image content. A standout function is 'Prompt to Edit,' enabling users to completely change an image's context with a textual description.
Beyond the AI Assisted Editor, Adobe has rolled out additional features. These include a light adjustment layer for enhanced lighting controls and an Instruct Edit with Masks function that allows for prompt-based modifications within specific image areas. A markup tool is also available, letting users draw directly on images to visually communicate desired changes to the AI, aiming for greater precision.
