Summary
- Phison's aiDAPTIV extends AI memory using NAND flash.
- This allows larger AI models to run on less DRAM.
- The solution works with Intel Core Ultra processors.

Phison Electronics is set to redefine AI PC capabilities through a new collaboration with Intel. Announced on June 02, 2026, at COMPUTEX, this partnership introduces Phison's Pascari aiDAPTIV technology. This innovative solution acts as a memory extension, addressing the growing demand for larger AI models and more complex AI applications.
aiDAPTIV overcomes the limitations of system memory (DRAM) by leveraging high-performance NAND flash. This allows for increased effective AI working memory, crucial for running larger Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) models and enabling persistent agentic AI workflows locally. Phison's testing demonstrated that aiDAPTIV enabled a 26 billion-parameter model to operate on a system with 16GB of DRAM, a task that previously required 32GB.
The technology is being integrated with Intel's AI PC platforms, specifically those featuring Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. This synergy aims to support demanding local AI use cases, including document analysis and multi-step workflow execution, while enhancing data privacy and reducing reliance on cloud services. Both companies are working together on technical demonstrations and workload optimization for these enhanced AI PCs.
