Signify has introduced a new Philips Smart Lighting HDMI Sync Box that integrates with the WiZ smart lighting ecosystem, diverging from the Philips Hue range. This updated sync box supports 4K 120Hz passthrough, preserving the full functionality of a key TV port. It is set to launch in the UK and Europe in June 2026, with pricing for the box and bundled lightstrip ranging from £129 to £149.
The Philips Smart Lighting HDMI Sync Box 2.1 is designed to synchronize ambient lighting with on-screen content, enhancing viewing immersion, particularly noted for gaming experiences. Unlike its Hue counterparts, this box operates exclusively within the WiZ app and ecosystem, offering a more budget-friendly alternative to the higher-priced Hue sync solutions. Signify is also broadening the Philips Smart Lighting range with new affordable products including gradient lights and flexible strips up to 20m in length for European markets.
