Summary
- Fidelio FA3 speakers boast advanced features for $399/£349.
- Sound quality is praised, but bass can be overbearing.
- Recycled materials and extensive app control enhance usability.

The Philips Fidelio FA3 active wireless speaker system has launched, offering a compelling set of features at a price of $399 / £349 / AU$499. Despite its attractive cost, the system boasts high-end Bluetooth 5.4 LE Audio with LC3 and LDAC codec support, along with Auracast functionality for multi-speaker setups. Physical inputs include HDMI ARC and digital optical for hi-res content up to 24bit/96kHz.
The FA3 speakers deliver a direct and full-scale audio presentation with clear highs and detailed mids. However, a significant drawback is their low-frequency response, which is described as overstated and overbearing, leading to a bottom-heavy sound. While the accompanying app offers EQ adjustments, the bass issue persists, especially at lower volumes.
Constructed with 45% recycled materials and featuring magnetic grilles, the FA3 cabinets are well-made. Usability is further enhanced by a comprehensive Philips Entertainment app and an included remote control, offering extensive customization options. The system was announced in September 2025 and released in January 2026.
