Oppo Find N6: Pocket-Sized Foldable Powerhouse
17 Mar
Summary
- The Oppo Find N6 is exceptionally thin at 8.9mm when closed.
- It boasts a triple IP rating for water resistance, a rare feature.
- The foldable is unavailable in the US, UK, and Europe.

Oppo's Find N6 foldable phone has been tested and praised for its powerful performance and innovative design. It features a glorious 8.12-inch inner and 6.62-inch outer display, with a new hinge minimizing the crease on the inner screen. A standout feature is its triple IP rating for water resistance, offering protection against rain and dust.
One of the most lauded aspects is the phone's slim design; when closed, it measures only 8.9mm thick, making it exceptionally comfortable for pocket storage. This is particularly notable as other manufacturers push the boundaries of foldable phone thickness. When open, the Find N6 is a mere 4.2mm thick.
Despite its slender form, the Find N6 is remarkably sturdy. Constructed with aluminum, a hinge of titanium and carbon fiber, and a durable nanocrystal glass exterior, it's built to last. Oppo claims it can withstand at least a million folds. The triple IP ratings (IP56, IP58, IP59) ensure it can handle immersion in water, high-temperature water, and high-pressure water jets.
The hinge's design, combined with "auto-smoothing flex glass," significantly reduces the inner display's crease, making it one of the least noticeable on the market. This minimal crease does not interfere with activities like gaming or watching videos, though it is more apparent under direct office lighting.
Under the hood, the Find N6 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, delivering top-tier performance as evidenced by benchmark tests. It handles demanding applications like the mobile game Genshin Impact with ease. The device runs Android 16, enhanced with Oppo's features for multitasking on the large inner display.
Photography is handled by a triple rear camera setup: a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. Oppo's partnership with Hasselblad suggests high-quality image output, similar to its Find X9 Pro model.
Powering the device is a 6,000-mAh silicon-carbon battery, expected to last a full day under typical use. For recharging, it supports 80-watt wired fast charging. Notably, the Find N6 can share files with iPhones and even answer calls from iPhones, potentially useful for users managing multiple devices.
However, a significant drawback is the phone's limited availability. It is currently sold only in "key Asian markets and Australia," excluding the US, UK, and Europe. This restricted release is disappointing given the phone's impressive specifications and design, leaving many potential customers unable to purchase it. Pricing details have not yet been released.
