OnePlus Pad Go 2: Plastic iPad Feel, Lacks Key Features
8 Feb
Summary
- The tablet has a plastic build resembling an iPad, offering good balance.
- It lacks a fingerprint sensor and expandable storage, common in competitors.
- No official IP rating for dust or water protection is present.

The OnePlus Pad Go 2 presents a design that evokes the feel of a plastic iPad, offering a well-balanced device with decent build quality. However, it omits several features commonly found on competing Android tablets in its price range, such as a fingerprint sensor and expandable storage. Its dimensions measure 7.59 by 10.47 by 0.27 inches, weighing 1.32 pounds.
The tablet features Panda Glass protecting its screen, which is surrounded by a slim bezel. The rear panel is straightforward, housing a single camera and the OnePlus logo, with regulatory markings below. Notably, there is no microSD card slot or 3.5mm headphone jack. Like the Lenovo Tab Pro, the Pad Go 2 lacks an official IP rating, leaving it unprotected against dust and water ingress.
For security, the Pad Go 2 relies on face unlock, which demonstrated some effectiveness by resisting unlock attempts using photos on other devices. An optional stylus, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 Stylo, is available for $79.99, though Lenovo includes a stylus with its Idea Pad Pro. The device is available exclusively in Shadow Black.
