One UI 9 Build Surfaces: 2026 Launch Imminent

Samsung's next-generation user interface, One UI 9, has reached a key development milestone with the appearance of its first official build. This significant discovery, noted by tipsters and confirmed by early testers, indicates that development is progressing as planned.

One UI 9 is set to be powered by Android 17, incorporating anticipated features like enhanced lock screen widgets and app windowing capabilities. Additionally, a notable change for Android 17 includes a dual-corner notification system, allowing separate access to notifications and Quick Settings.

While the exact launch date is not yet public, Samsung's development cycle suggests a rollout for later in 2026. This follows the pattern of previous updates, which typically include a beta testing phase before a wider release on newer Samsung devices.
