In September 2025, Nvidia is rolling out a significant upgrade to its GeForce Now cloud gaming platform. The centerpiece of this update is the integration of the company's latest Blackwell architecture, which will power the new RTX 5080 GPU-class performance.
This upgrade will enable streaming of games at up to 5K resolution and 120 frames per second, thanks to the implementation of DLSS 4 and Nvidia's new Cinematic Quality Streaming (CQS) mode. Additionally, the platform will support a wider range of devices, including Logitech racing wheels, LG monitors and TVs, and the Steam Deck, which will see a performance boost to 90 FPS.
The GeForce Now library is also set to double in size, reaching over 4,500 titles. This includes upcoming AAA releases such as Borderlands 4, Hell Is Us, Dying Light: The Beast, The Outer Worlds 2, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Subscribers will also have access to the Install-to-Play feature, allowing them to stream Steam games directly from the cloud.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has described this upgrade as "the biggest leap in cloud gaming ever," promising stunning graphics, lightning-fast frame rates, and negligible latency. With prices remaining the same for both Ultimate and Performance memberships, this update is poised to elevate the cloud gaming experience to new heights.
