Summary
- Nvidia withdrew a recently released driver due to bugs affecting RTX graphics cards.
- Users reported fan control issues, lower boost clocks, and system instability.
- Nvidia advises affected users to roll back to the previous driver version.

Nvidia has been forced to withdraw a recently released driver for its RTX graphics cards due to a significant number of bugs impacting users. The Game Ready and Studio 595.59 WHQL driver, made available only a few days ago, has been temporarily removed from download as Nvidia investigates the issues.
Users who installed the driver reported various problems. These included malfunctioning GPU fans, ignored custom fan curves, and failure to display in monitoring software. Some experienced a complete lack of fan response, while others noted lower boost clocks and interference with GPU voltages, particularly affecting high-end cards like the RTX 5080 and 5090.
Further issues encompassed system instability, such as black screens, driver crashes, freezes, and unexpected restarts. Reports also indicated HDR signal loss during gaming on Samsung TVs, sleep-resume problems with Samsung monitors, and specific game glitches tied to Unreal Engine 5. The driver's intended purpose was to prepare Nvidia GPUs for "Resident Evil Requiem" and add DLSS 4 support.
Nvidia has confirmed the bug and advised users experiencing issues to roll back to the previous 591.86 WHQL driver. The company is working on a fix but has not provided an estimated release date for the updated driver.
