NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS Launches Future-Proof IoT Solution

NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS will introduce "Pro," a new IoT Network as a Service, in March 2027. This innovative offering is designed to support the large-scale and global deployment of connected products by simplifying the management of tens of thousands of IoT connections.

"Pro" addresses the growing complexity of managing IoT services, particularly for businesses operating internationally. The service provides centralized management of domestic and international connectivity and devices, enhancing operational automation and system integration. It aims to reduce the operational burden on customers while bolstering security.

A key feature is the support for the next-generation IoT eSIM standard (SGP.32), enabling flexible profile changes post-manufacturing. This facilitates simpler global product rollouts with a single configuration for multiple regions and allows for remote switching of communication service providers.

Additional benefits include automated SIM activation and configuration, real-time visibility for improved operations and security, and streamlined integration with existing business systems through APIs. These advancements collectively aim to reduce management costs, security risks, and improve service reliability.
