Nothing Phone 4B: Budget King or Compromise?
7 Jul
Summary
- Phone 4B boasts the largest battery yet at 5,200mAh.
- Features a transparent camera bump with a refined Glyph bar.
- Priced at £299 ($400), it offers value for budget-conscious buyers.

The British tech startup Nothing has unveiled its latest budget smartphone, the Phone 4B, alongside the Nothing Ear 3A. This new model addresses a key concern from its predecessor, the Phone 4A, by incorporating the largest battery ever in a Nothing phone, a substantial 5,200mAh capacity. This upgrade is particularly noteworthy given the Phone 4B's more affordable price point.
While not reaching the battery longevity of top-tier flagships, the Phone 4B's improved battery life is a significant step for a budget device. It retains Nothing's signature design, featuring transparent elements like a unique camera bump on the rear, which houses a refined version of the signature Glyph bar. This light-up LED system provides customizable notifications and status indicators.
The Phone 4B is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, offering performance competitive with its older sibling, the Phone 4A. It sports a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, though it omits the telephoto lens found on the 4A. These strategic compromises allow Nothing to offer the Phone 4B at an attractive starting price of £299 ($400).
The new handset will be available in black, white, and blue. Sales will begin in Nothing's physical stores on July 11, followed by online availability on July 17. This launch positions the Phone 4B as a compelling choice for consumers seeking an affordable yet fun and distinctive smartphone experience.
