24 Feb
Summary
- Nothing's new 4A phone features a brighter, updated Glyph Bar for notifications.
- The phone was teased in white and gray, not the expected bright pink.
- The 4A Pro, launching March 5, may feature the hinted color experiments.

Nothing recently unveiled its latest smartphone, the 4A, along with its more sophisticated counterpart, the 4A Pro, both set to launch on March 5. The company, founded in 2020 and known for its minimalist Android designs and distinctive Glyph interface, teased the 4A in white and gray colorways, diverging from earlier suggestions of bright pink.
The new 4A model features an enhanced Glyph Bar, which is 40% brighter than previous iterations. This system utilizes dozens of mini-LEDs within small squares to configure a wider range of customizable notifications, such as specific call alerts or delivery notifications, without requiring the main screen to be active.
The Phone (3), released in July 2025, notably introduced the Glyph Matrix with 489 mini-LEDs, enabling more complex visual information. The 4A's Glyph Bar aims for a less distracting yet more informative notification experience. Early reports suggest the 4A may incorporate a Snapdragon 7-series chip, enhancing AI, 5G, and gaming capabilities.
