Noble Audio has launched the Sceptre, a portable USB-C Bluetooth transmitter engineered to significantly improve wireless audio fidelity for smartphones, tablets, and laptops. This compact device aims to surpass the audio quality delivered by a gadget's built-in hardware.
The Sceptre utilizes Qualcomm's QCC5181 Bluetooth chipset, providing support for high-quality audio codecs including LDAC, aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC. To benefit from these advanced codecs, users will require compatible receiving devices. The transmitter is reported to have a wireless operational range of approximately 66 feet.
Initial setup for the Sceptre is managed through the Noble app, after which the dongle can be easily moved between various USB-C enabled devices. It also features pass-through USB-C charging, allowing users to simultaneously charge their devices while enjoying enhanced audio. Noble Audio confirms compatibility across iOS, Android, and Windows platforms, with specific support for newer iPhone models.
