Mitsubishi Motors has officially revealed its completely redesigned Pajero SUV, positioning it as the brand's new-generation flagship. This marks the most significant overhaul in two decades, featuring a new 2.4-litre clean diesel engine that delivers 480 Nm of torque, coupled with a newly developed 8-speed automatic transmission for enhanced performance.
The redesigned Pajero will be manufactured in Thailand and is slated for its initial release in the country, with subsequent launches planned for Japan and Australia within fiscal 2026. Following this, the model is expected to expand its availability to nearly 100 countries starting from fiscal 2027.
Embodying "Confidence," "Comfort," and a new "Prestige" pillar, the exterior design draws inspiration from Japanese kendo. Inside, the cabin boasts dual 14.3-inch displays and advanced off-road technology, including Mitsubishi's Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system, seven selectable drive modes, and a front under-floor camera.
Safety features include an eight-airbag system with a new center airbag, Emergency Lane Assist, and MI-PILOT highway assistance. The three-row, seven-seat interior prioritizes comfort with ventilated seats and a premium audio system co-developed with Yamaha, featuring 12 speakers.
