The base storage for these new laptops has been increased to 512GB, and they are available with a $100 discount compared to the prior M4 MacBook Air models with similar storage. Customers can configure them with up to 4TB of storage for the first time.
The M5 MacBook Air also introduces Apple's N1 wireless chip, providing support for the latest WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6 standards. While these internal enhancements are significant, the physical design, Liquid Retina displays, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, and an 18-hour battery life rating remain unchanged from their predecessors. The laptops continue to be offered in four distinct colors: sky blue, midnight, starlight, and silver.
