Amazon has unveiled a new 10-inch digital photo frame that integrates Alexa, aiming to blend seamlessly with traditional picture frames. The device features a semi-matte, anti-glare screen and adaptive lighting to mimic the appearance of physical photos. Its AI capabilities, powered by Alexa+, can sort and curate images from Amazon Photos, intelligently grouping them by individuals, themes, or seasonal relevance. A notable feature allows users to record voice notes attached to specific photos.
The Alexa Photo Frame is available now, with prices starting at $199 for the black model and $229 for real wood finishes in birch and walnut.
Additionally, Amazon announced the Echo Show 16, a redesigned smart display that is 40% thinner than its predecessor, offering 10% more screen space due to reduced bezels. It includes a new 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with an expanded Visual ID range and night vision. The device also boasts 20% more computing power for faster interactions.
The Echo Show 16 features three new 'Screen Styles': 'Smart Home' for device control, 'Family Organizer' for planning and to-dos, and 'Photos' for enhanced digital framing. It is available for pre-order at $499, with a $100 discount for early buyers, and will ship later this year.
