Namibia Rejects Starlink Internet Application

Namibia has denied Starlink, Elon Musk's satellite internet provider, the necessary approvals to operate within the country. Official notices published in the government gazette reveal that applications for a telecommunications service license have been rejected.

In addition to the license denial, Namibia also turned down Starlink's request to access the nation's radio spectrum. These decisions effectively prevent the satellite internet provider from launching its services in the Southern African country.

The rejection marks a significant setback for Starlink's expansion efforts in the region. The company, known for its ambitious global internet coverage goals, will need to seek alternative strategies if it wishes to enter the Namibian market.
