Motorola's new Razr Fold foldable smartphone is now available for preorder in the UK with a starting price of £1,800. The device comes in lily white and blackened blue, featuring 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage, and includes the Moto Pen Ultra accessory.
Preorders placed through Motorola's UK site before May 3 are eligible for a £220 discount, bringing the price down to £1,580. Additionally, these early orders will receive a complimentary Moto Watch and a pair of Moto Buds Loop. Orders are set to begin shipping on May 6.
The £1,800 price point converts to approximately $2,443 USD, which is notably higher than some competitors. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 with 512GB storage starts at £2,000 in the UK and is currently $1,800 in the US. The Google Pixel 10 Fold with the same storage capacity is priced at £1,869 in the UK and $1,619 in the US.
Industry analysts note that rising memory prices due to a global component shortage make predicting the final US cost of the Razr Fold challenging. Early impressions suggest the Razr Fold's form factor is similar to other leading foldables, with a hardly noticeable incremental size difference.
