Minisforum is pushing the boundaries of mini-PC performance with its new AtomMan G1 Pro. This compact tower houses a desktop-grade Nvidia RTX 5060 GPU and a robust AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX CPU, offering power previously unseen in such small form factors. It competes directly with concepts like Valve's Steam Machine, but with significantly beefier components and an integrated power supply.
The G1 Pro features dual M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs and two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM. Connectivity is also a strong point, with five display outputs supporting up to four monitors simultaneously. Minisforum claims its "Beast Mode" can push the CPU to 100W and the GPU to its full 145W rating.
This potent mini-PC is available now for $1,440 with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, with shipping expected mid-January. A barebones version without RAM and storage is also offered for $1,040. While Valve has yet to reveal pricing for its Steam Machine, the Minisforum G1 Pro presents a powerful, albeit premium, option for those seeking desktop-level gaming and productivity in a miniature chassis.
