As of November 16th, 2025, Microsoft has unveiled a new iteration of its Surface Pro 12-inch tablet, featuring a leaner and more affordable design. The base model is priced at $799.99 and includes an eight-core Snapdragon X Plus (X1P-42-100) processor, 16GB of memory, and a 256GB universal flash storage (UFS) drive.
This latest Surface Pro 12-inch model represents a marked downgrade in storage capacity compared to the previous generation, which utilized full-fat solid-state drives. However, Microsoft is offering a step-up model at $899.99 that doubles the UFS storage to 512GB while retaining the same Snapdragon processor.
One notable omission from both models is the lack of a charger in the box. While the device comes with a USB-C cable, the 45-watt Surface USB-C wall charger, sold separately by Microsoft for $69.99, is an essential accessory that users will need to purchase. This could be a significant added cost for many shoppers.
For those in need of more storage and memory, Microsoft also offers a business version of the Surface Pro 12-inch, which includes a 1TB SSD and up to 24GB of RAM. However, this model carries a heftier price tag, ranging from $1,249.99 to $1,449.99, depending on the RAM configuration.
