Microsoft has announced the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, a new desktop computer engineered for intensive AI workloads. This device is optimized for tasks such as long-running training jobs, agentic AI pipelines, and local model fine-tuning. It utilizes NVIDIA's RTX Spark chip, providing a substantial petaflop of AI computing power and supporting up to 128GB of unified memory.

Complementing its AI prowess, the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box incorporates NVIDIA's RTX Blackwell GPU, delivering gaming performance akin to a laptop's RTX 5070. The system is designed to handle significant heat with a 100W thermal envelope.
