Meta's AI Sparks Game Creation for Instagram & Facebook

Meta has unveiled new AI-driven development tools, Horizon Create and Horizon Studio, designed to simplify game creation for its Horizon social platform. These tools, one a mobile app and the other a browser-based application, will allow users to generate games using AI prompts, with an early access program opening soon.

The company plans to give games developed with these new tools greater visibility by recommending them on Facebook and Instagram. Users will be able to tap on game clips within their feeds and begin playing instantly, eliminating the need for app downloads. This strategy aims to embed Horizon games directly into the content discovery ecosystem of Meta's primary social platforms.

This initiative follows a recent trend of major platforms embracing AI for content creation, with Roblox also introducing similar AI development features.
