Meta's AI Styles Your Wardrobe from Instagram

Meta has introduced Style Sketch, an innovative AI fashion application that assists users in generating outfit ideas using clothing they already possess. The app integrates with Instagram to curate a virtual closet from posted photos or permits manual uploads via photos, videos, or camera roll images.

Style Sketch suggests outfit combinations from a user's wardrobe, tailored to their personal style. These ensembles can be virtually tried on a realistic model that matches the user's body shape and skin tone, as per the app's description.

This new app is currently accessible on iOS and Android in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. Meta has not yet commented on potential wider rollout plans for Style Sketch.

Users can also select a specific item to receive fresh outfit inspirations built around it. Additionally, the app can help plan outfits for travel by considering destination, trip length, planned activities, weather forecasts, and itineraries to generate a day-by-day plan.

Style Sketch is part of Meta's recent wave of AI-driven app releases, including Waddle World, Pocket, and Vibes. This strategy aligns with a broader company effort to launch more applications, driven by AI efficiencies that accelerate development.
